Helping God's creatures, one at a time...

On November 17th of 2013, I witnessed something that would forever change my perception of the world around me, and animal care, and it is on that day, that I feel that Furry Friends Animal Rescue was created, though we did not yet have a name. It was on that day, in the early morning light, I discovered a little black cat, who would come to be called "Mr. Hannah."  It was that moment, that my world shifted.

Mr. Hannah had been hit by a car, and left to die in the cold, on the wet ground. No one had stopped, no one had slowed down. I could not pass. I could not turn the other way and let this defenseless creature suffer and die alone. I had to help. It was in that moment that I realized that, here in the south particularly, we have a 'culture of cruelty" when it comes to our animals. It was that day, that I learned what this world of "animal rescue" really was, because I was blessed to come into contact with a group that took in Mr. Hannah, and saved his life. It was at that time that I realized I wanted to make a difference.

So, Furry Friends was born. We did not have a name, or plan. But we had a Bible verse that told us that with faith, nothing is impossible. We had people fervently praying for our success. We had a desire to make a difference in the lives of pets and their people in our communities.  Since that time, God has opened miraculous doors for us. He has seen His will done, despite the doubt and nay saying, and it is the Lord who receives the glory for everything being done.

At the time I write this, we are working hard to become a 501c3 organization, and we ask that you pray for us along those lines. Please prayerfully consider supporting our efforts, as well. There are many ways to get involved, and it would be a huge blessing to have your help.
